Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift 2:
30pm - 10:
35pm Primary function of this position is to ensure the proper coordination of freight coming into the warehouse operations and ensure the outbound freight is properly loaded and coordinated to deliver at the intended destination.
Position represents the company in a positive image with employees, carriers and customers always performing in a safe and ethical manner.
Shift times are subject to change.
Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift.
Sometimes it is not possible to give employees involved much notice.
Overtime:
Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed.
Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit.
Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates the shipment and routing of outbound and inbound freight to ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery of product.
Liaises with internal stakeholders, drivers, vendors, and contracted carriers in planning the movement of freight.
Handles escalated shipments to ensure excellent customer service.
Process orders based on the buyer's preferred shipping system (e.
g.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.
) Contact carriers and schedules collection for shipments.
Ensures all required forms and documents are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Investigates and resolves issues related to damages, shortages, and overages.
Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas.
Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as, state & federal laws and regulations.
Know and understand your OSHA rights.
Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals.
Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position.
Maintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Employee handbook.
Actively participate in SRP, VPDS, and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
