Technical Lead Scope:
Working in an Engineering Research and Development Laboratory, performing all functions necessary to maintain raw and processed material inventory levels.
This includes proper storage of incoming material and recycling of unwanted material.
As required, assist the technical staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES to include but not limited to As directed, perform inventory control of Lab raw materials.
This includes but is not limited to:
Boxes both incoming and outgoing shall be handled and maintained in the digital database of inventoried items on a daily basis.
Coordinate with logistics team for offsite storage box handling, per established process.
Pipe stock inventory shall be organized, and minimum stocking levels of pipe will be controlled by the inventory system.
Recycle unwanted materials.
Use the Engineering lab's material handling equipment to move, inventory, store, and maintain all incoming and outgoing material on a daily basis.
Maintain all material handling equipment including routine cleaning of forklifts, and other various lab equipment as assigned.
Log and estimate all hours using Liquid Planner (LP) and use LP as a primary communication tool Maintain an efficient, professional, organized, and clean work area in the lab environment in accordance with Lean initiatives.
Follow all company safety requirements and procedures.
The following responsibilities are as needed to maintain workflow continuity:
Prepare pipe for assembly:
operate various equipment, such as plasma cutting equipment, cut-off saw, drill press, and belt sander, as necessary.
Set up and operate all Victaulic grooving tools; Groove pipe as required for technical staff; Clean and maintain grooving tools when used.
Prepare batches of product samples, as required.
Can include painting, assembly, etc.
Maintain records and logs.
Specific policies and procedures have been established by the Engineering Department to provide for the security and accessibility of electronic data and confidential information.
It is the responsibility of the employee, in the daily course of doing business, to follow said policies as they relate to document management (see EOG-26).
The extent to which departmental research and development information is stored electronically has vastly increased and will continue to do so.
The new Federal rules pertaining to electronic discovery stipulate that substantive email communications constituted records under the Federal Records Act.
It is therefore the responsibility of each departmental employee to understand their role in communicating via e-mails and that all e-mails must be written/responded to in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
Associate and/or technical degree preferred Mechanical aptitude and high organizational skills Proficient in the use of computers, to include all applicable inventory software Capable of assisting in the performance of all Laboratory functions Capable of taking verbal and written instructions Valid driver's license and willingness to travel Preferred but not required:
Proficient in blueprint reading, shop math and precision instrument operation (measurement instruments such as calipers, diameter measuring tapes, etc.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
