The position works with stakeholders across the college and colleagues in Information Technology Services to review, plan, and execute IT projects.
The ideal candidate is a project manager with technical experience or a technical individual looking to move into a project coordination role.
Curiosity about emerging trends in IT is important.
So the ability to translate technical jargon, whether it's project management lingo from a vendor, technobabble from an IT expert, or discipline-specific requests from faculty and staff.
Responsibilities:
Project Intake:
Collaboratively review incoming project requests to determine their fit with the college's technology standards, identify possible risks, and assess impacts on existing workflows.
Project Support:
Work with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute information technology projects.
Documentation:
Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports.
Communication and Collaboration:
Leverage effective communication techniques, whether that's regular check-in meetings, automated email reminders, or meeting for coffee with project stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
Qualifications:
Keen interest in technology.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience in a technology-oriented role.
Project management experience and proficiency in related tools are helpful but not required.
Knowledge of higher education systems, processes, and environments is a plus.
