Costume Character ( will get paid for four hours of work) must be between 5'5 - 5'11, reliable and kid friendly. Please send resume and photo ASAP if interested.
Impersonates cartoon characters, traditional holiday or storybook characters. Perform at the malls, conventions or exhibits, children hospitals and private parties.
Wears character costumes and impersonates characters portrayed to amuse children and adults.
Depending on the event, you are required to distribute presents, toys, pose for pictures, and converse with children and adults.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available for rehearsals
Must be able to disclose accurate availability for all event/ rehearsal dates during the audition process
Previous performance experience as a character is beneficial but not required
All applicants must attend an audition to be considered
Please make sure you have completed an online application prior to the audition
Must be available to work every night of the event
Must be able to perform assigned character for up to two hours at a time. Performance may include standing, walking or sitting
Based on needs and availability some positions will not work every night of the event

Responsibilities:
Creating a realistic character experience for families
Consistently performing the same experience repetitively throughout the night of the event
Being responsible for clocking in and out at the beginning and end of the assigned shifts
Taking and implementing direction from persons of authority
Maintaining a tidy and safe area
Working well with a diverse group of co- workers

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
